Meera Vasudev with Kapil Dev!

It is difficult for a heroine to get film offers after marriage. Similarly, actresses who have moved to small screen find it difficult to get back to the big screen, especially elusive are heroine roles.

These don't seem to apply to Meera Vasudev. She has got busier in films after marriage. She was offered the role opposite Mohanlal in Malayalam film 'Thanmatra.' Now she is acting with Prithviraj in a new film.

Hindi film offers are also coming her way. One of them 'Magic Bat' is based on cricket and she plays the girlfriend of a cricketer. It is the fashion in Bollywood to cast cricket superstars in films. Kumble has agreed to act in a film and Kapil Dev has agreed to act in 'Magic Bat.'

"I have been a fan of Kapil Dev from a young age. Now I'm delighted I will be actually acting with him," says Meera Vasudev with a beaming smile.

Even though she has Hindi and Malayalam films on hand, Meera is disappointed that she has few offers in her mother tongue Tamil. "I hope this disappointment soon turns to happiness," she says with confidence.

We will also be happy for Meera if her wish comes true!
