Aishwarya Rai signs Robot

It’s now official. Aishwarya Rai has been signed up to be Rajinikanth's heroine in Shankar's big budget mega film Robot, being produced by Ayngaran International in association with Eros Entertainment.

Aishwarya Rai has not only signed the deal but also received a whopping amount as advance (much more than any leading south Indian actress will get as their salary!) for a film. In fact Aishwarya will receive a salary which would be the highest ever paid to an Indian actress to do a film.

Both the sides are extremely happy over the deal, as Shankar has been assured of priority dates when he starts the shoot some time in May/ June. Added to that, her "dates" will be available over a period of 18 months on mutually agreed days.

Aishwarya Rai will also be doing Mani Ratnam's 'realistic love story' to start sometime in Sep/Oct with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, with most of the indoor shoot likely to happen in Chennai. And since Mani sir has excellent equations with the superstar and Shankar, there will not be any issues regarding Ash's "dates".

It is a win-win situation for Rajinikanth, Shankar, and Ayngaran as Robo their dream project is approaching the take-off stage without any major hiccups.
