Dhruvam, Kashmeeram, Butter files, Crime Files....the success list of A. K Sajan and Sahthosh extends up to about twenty films. It they had limited themselves to script writing till now, the duo is donning the directorial cap as well this time. Their forthcoming venture 'Violence', under the banner of Vrindavan pictures, deals with a subject of great-Contemporary relevance- the misguided youth. Our youngsters, the most valuable national treasure, are reduced to mere pawns at the hands of vested interests. They are fighting somebody else's battle in which they have nothing to gain but lose themselves. The fight each other like street dogs and perish. Many of the characters in the film are nameless. They have no perceptible identity except their physical might or capacity for violence.

The freshness of the theme is reflected int he cast also. Many of the actors are newcomers including Prithviraj (Son of Actor Sukumaran). The most prominent new faces is Saji Soman , the son of late M.G. Soman, the superstar of yester years. Saji , also has proved himself to be worthy of his illustrious father, is happy about the success of his debut. Saji has started thinking about leaving behind his business to make a career in film.

The faces of Beena George, who dose a kind of negative role in the move is not completely new to malayalee audience. She has acted in a number of top-rated TV serials and has been a model in many popular advertisements like premier Mills, L&T Cements, Rubco mattress, Family jam s and squash and so on.The heroine Chandra Lakshman is a native of Thiruvanthapuram, now residing at Chennai. She is a dancer and has appeared in a number of Tamil films. She has also signed as heroine in two forthcoming Tamil projects. Nevertheless, she considers an offer in a Malayalam film as precious as an award.

For producer Rajan, it is his third film, after 'Angane Oru Avathikkalathu' and 'Nariman'. He has great hopes about his low budget film dealing with a new subject and featuring new faces. Vijayaraghavan, Sadiq, Baburaj, Tharakalyan, Beena Kumbalangi, Vinayakam and Salu are the other actors.
