Sakthivel comes as Daniel to Ooty with a recommendation letter from a Church Father from Chennai for a job and enters the ex police commissioner Devanathan?s (Nassar) house. He joins their tea estate as supervisor. Devanathan lives in a joint family with his son Ashwin (Anand Samy), daughter Anitha (Kutty Radhika) brother Viswanathan (Thalai Vasal Vijay), his wife Kanchana Mendis (Srilanka actress) and their two children. Daniel saves Devanathan?s life from a group of thugs and wins over everyone in the family. But Daniel has entered the house with a plan to devastate Devanathan and his family. He makes a to-do-list and executes them one by one, the first one being, sending his son to a mental hospital. Then he creates a rift between the brothers and separates them. Towards the end he gets cornered by Anitha while giving ?Tidhi? to his lover Abhirami (Sada) and his true colours are revealed. Now in a flash back he unwinds his past and how her father was responsible for the death of his would-be girl Abhirami and his entire family. He also proves Anitha, her father?s nexus with the terrorists Guna.
Srikanth as Daniel has attempted a different role which has grey shades which he is able to accomplish successfully. Though Sada has a brief role, we get a feeling as if she is there throughout the film as the entire story revolves around her. She looks fresh and beautiful. Nasser?s performance is ok. Kutty Radhika, Thalai Vasal Vijay, Nizhalgal Ravi, Saranya, Anand Sami are all apt to their roles. Karunas and Chitti Babu provide some lighter moments which doesn?t gel with the story. Debutant director Nagulan Ponnusamy has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. For a thriller the first half lacks consistency. The screenplay is a bit slow and most of the scenes are predictable. But the second half is neat and fast paced. Music by Vidyasagar is average. Even there is nothing new in background score. Cinematographer B.Balamurugan should be applauded for capturing the cool picturesque locales of Srilanka and untouched places in Ooty.
