As this is the fourth film of Dhanush who has given a hatrick there has been a lot of expectations for this. "No matter even if my film is going to be a total waste. But I have picturized this film with Dhanush who is a hot cake of Tamil film industry" its these overconfident words of director Stanly spoken during the Preview and Press meets. Pudhukottaielurunthu Saravanan who goes to Singapore for job is accused of killing a Chinese guy and looses his passport. It is now that he takes refuge with Aparna helping her to reach India. The story ends by showing how he is faced by hurdles which melt as victory for him. One wonders if Dhanush had listened only to his character in the story and neither has the director thought beyond that.

Certain scenes in the film were Dhanush raises his voice while uttering the dialogues have made people get to their nerves. And time and again he has said that I am not Bruseli but have imitated his style of fighting. The film has a sequence of songs and fights which seem very unnecessary at times. Similarly it is so stupid to show how easily they cross boarders without much of a difficulty. Even for a lay man this scene looks very unsensible. Another minus point in the film is that there aren't any big charcters in the film other than Dhanush and Aparna. Yuvan Shankar raja's music Nattu Sarkku has only proved that like in Vijay's movies even in Dhanush's film there has to be such songs. A film that has no story and for this the director has taken so much trouble to frame a screenplay only counting on Dhanush.
